A Country Autumn

This tutorial was written by me on September 14, 2013 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PS Version used: PS CS3 Extended and can easily be converted to PSP

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PS/PSP.

Tube of choice. I am using the work of Ismael Rac. You can purchase his tubes here.

PTU A Country Autumn kit by Inzpired Creationz. You can purchase it here.

DD_Autumn Template by Dees’Sign Depot. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using Art Brewery.

Note: PS users, make sure your move tool has ‘show transform controls’ checked so you can resize each element easily. Press shift + drag to resize them without distortion. PSP users, resize as necessary. Please use my tag for a reference.

Open your template. Image size, 600 x 600. Delete the credits layer and all the text layers, including the wordart back, and d/s layers. Also delete the background layer & doodle layers.

Add your papers to each layer. I have used, from the bottom layer to the top:

Paper 1
Paper 12
Paper 4
Paper 12
Paper 1
Paper 5
Paper 13
Paper 8
Paper 10
Paper 4
Paper 10
Paper 2
Paper 8
Paper 1

Add the elements of your choice. I used:

Splatter 1 – place to the top, duplicate. Transform, flip vertical and place to the bottom. Move this layer just above the green oval layer.

Hay Stack – place to the right. Move this layer behind the small square layers.

String 1 – place to the top.

Scattered Acorns – place to the left side, move this layer above the small square layers.

Grass 1 – place to the bottom.

Scattered Gems – place to your liking.

Branch 3 – place to the bottom.

Branch 4 – place to the bottom, flip horizontal.

Ladder – place to the lower right, flip horizontal.

Flower 10 – place to the lower right.

Wheel – place to the lower left.

Bubbles – place along the left side.

Bag – place in front of the wheel, flip horizontal.

Acorns 1 – place to the right of the bag.

Flowers 1 – place to the bottom left, flip horizontal.

Open your tube, duplicate, and place the bottom copy over the top small square. Ctrl + click over the thumbnail for the top square. On the tube layer, select, inverse. Deselect. Duplicate the tube for this layer. Filter, blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay. On the bottom tube layer, set the blend mode to screen.

You should have one copy of your tube still left untouched. Place this tube in the center or to your liking. Move the tube above your scattered acorns layer.

Add your name (I used noise on the name), copyrights, and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers if desired.

Merge visible. On the outside edge of your canvas, you may see a black border on two sides from adding the drop shadow. Just take you eraser tool and erase the shadow.

Save as a PNG.

Thanks for checking out my tutorials.
