That Eld Witch

This tutorial was written by me on October 3, 2013 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

PTU kit, That Eld Witch, by Kandii Popz Dezignz. You can purchase this kit here.

DD_Halloween_Template_3_Ghoul by Dangerously Delicious Designz. You can find it here.

Vixd_MaskHalloween0906 by Vix PSP. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using Skullphabet One.

Filters: Filters Unlimited 2.0

Open your template & mask. Minimize your mask for now.

On the template, set the canvas size to 750 x 700. Delete the following layers: info, wordart black, wordart white, wordart d/s, background.

Open Paper4. Copy and paste as a new layer and move this layer to the bottom. Apply your mask, merge group. Add noise, gaussian, 50, monochrome checked.

On the orange rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. Open Paper8. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the blue circle layer, select all, float, defloat. Open Paper3. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the dotted circle layer, manual color correction, set the source to #000000 and the target to #f7f8fc.

Open Frame3. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as necessary and place over the circle layer.

On the green strip layer, manual color correction. Set the source to #a8b041 and the target to #acdc55.

On the brush stroke layer, manual color correction, source #000000 and target set to #202020.

On the purple square layer, select all, float, defloat. Open Paper10. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the purple circle layer, select all, float, defloat. Open Paper7. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.

On the black rectangle layer, manual color correction, source #000000, target #202020.

On the green rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer. Set your foreground to
#f7f8fc and your background to #acdc55. Create a linear gradient with these two colors, angle 215, repeats 0. Floodfill your layer with your gradient. Deselect and delete the green rectangle layer.

Filters Unlimited 2.0, paper textures, striped paper, fine. Set the intensity to 74.

On the grunge border layer, manual color correction with the same settings as before.

On the white heart layer, manual color correction. Set the source to #ffffff, target to #202020. Add noise with the same settings as before.

On the orange heart layer, manual color correction. Set the source to #cb6c1a and the target to #acdc55.

Open the Web, flip horizontal. Copy & paste as a new layer and resize as necessary. Place over the heart layer. On the green heart layer, select all, float, defloat. On the Web layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect.

On the small white hearts layer, manual color correction. Set the source to #ffffff and the target to #202020. Add noise with the same settings as before.

Now for the elements. Remember to resize them as needed. We will work from the bottom to the top.

Bow2 – place to the top of the frame
Lights – place over the green strip layer
Ghosties – place to the top of the web
SpellBook – place to the right, slightly down & rotate slightly to the left
Cauldron – place to the bottom left of the spellbook
Candle – place to the right of the cauldron

Witch – Place over the grunge border frame. Duplicate the witch and hide the top copy. On the original witch layer, move below the grunge frame layer. Duplicate twice for a total of 3 different copies. Now arrange them over the gradient layer. When you are satisfied with your placement, merge the witch copies together. On the gradient layer, select all, float, defloat, on the merged witch layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect.

Duplicate the merged witches layer. Gaussian blur 3.00, set the blend mode to screen. On the original merged layer set the blend mode to soft light.

Now for the remaining elements, which should be placed above the topmost witch.

FingersOfFrogs – place to the bottom left.
Cat – place to the right of the FingersOfFrogs
VoodooDoll – flip horizontal, place to the upper left
Sparkles1

Add your name, and credits to the designer. If using a tube of choice, add your copyrights & license info.

Add a drop shadow of choice to your layers, and merge visible. You may resize your tag to the size of choice.

Save as a PNG.
