This tutorial was written by me on January 9th, 2014 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PS Version used: PS CS3 but should work in other versions, and also can easily be converted to PSP.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PS/PSP.

*To resize your elements, drag them to your canvas and then use the move tool (show transform tools checked) and press shift + drag them to the size you want.

*For applying a mask, you can find a little tutorial here.

Open your template. Set the canvas size to 850 x 600. Now set your image size to 600 x 424. Delete Raster 12.

Let’s add the papers first.

From the bottom layer to the top –

Raster 7 – Paper 7
Raster 6 – Paper 5
Raster 9 – Paper 9

Merge together both Raster 4 layers.

Merged Raster 4 – Paper 10, rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

Merge together both Raster 5 layers.

Merged Raster 5 – Paper 8
Raster 3 – Paper 4
Raster 10 – Paper 5

Now let’s add our elements & remember to resize as necessary:

GlitterSplat – Place to the left, duplicte, flip horizontal & vertical. Merge these two layers together. Move this layer to the bottom.
Fan – place towards the top, behind the merged slats layer.
PocketWatch – Place to the top left
DemonFly – Rotate slightly to the right, then place in the top inside right corner of your top frame.
Bow1 – Place to the top of your pocket watch.
Sparkles1
Ribbon1 – Place to the bottom
Candles – Place to the bottom left
Glass – Place to the bottom right
Cuppy – Place to the left of the glass
Cat – Place to the bottom, on the right side of the candles
Sparkles2 – Place over the middle or to your liking

Open your tube now.

Place your a copy of your tube over the small square layer (the one with the frame). Xero Porcelain with the settings of your choice, blue set to zero. Duplicate this layer, gaussian blur 3. Set the blend mode to Screen, opacity set to 68. On the original layer, set the blend mode to Luminosity, opacity 55.

Add noise to the frame layer, 50, monochrome checked.

Repeat for the other small square layer.

Now place a copy of your tube just below the ribbon layer. Place to your liking. Apply the Xero Porcelain to you tube. Using your eraser, erase any part of the tube that hangs below the ribbon.

Open your mask and apply the mask to Paper 2. Move your masked layer so it is below the glitter splat layer. Transform the mask so it fits onto your canvas better.

Select all, modify, contract by 1. Image, crop.

Add your name, copyrights, and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice and then merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Thanks for checking out my tutorials.
