You’re the One

This tutorial was written by me on January 28th, 2014 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5 but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the beautiful art of Tatyana Haustova. You can purchase her art here

You’re the One Add-On Freebie by Cinnamon Scraps. You can find it here

Template 240 by Toxic Desirez. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Impregnable.

Filters:

Filters Unlimited 2.0
Penta.com Color Dot

Open your template. Set the canvas size to 900 x 700. Resize all layers by 67%. Delete the credits layer.

Merge together the following layers:

Raster 11, Copy of Raster 11
Raster 10, Copy of Raster 10
Raster 9, Copy of Raster 9
Raster 8, Copy of Raster 8
Raster 6, Copy of Raster 6
Raster 7, Copy of Raster 7
Raster 5, Copy of Raster 5
Raster 4, Copy of Raster 4
Copy of Raster 3, Copy (2) of Raster 3
Raster 3, Copy of Raster 3

Add the following papers to the layers mentioned. Remember to resize each paper to 800 x 800 pixels:

Raster 11 – Paper 33
Raster 10 – Paper 30
Raster 9 – Paper 29
Raster 8 – Paper 31
Raster 6 – select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with #c8ccd7. Filters Unlimited 2.0, Paper Textures, Cotton Paper, Fine. Change the Intensity to 96.
Raster 7 – repeat the steps for Raster 6, except change the color to #da4e3d.
Raster 5 – Paper 32
Raster 4 – Paper 33
Copy of Raster 2 – Paper 34
Raster 2 – select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with #c8ccd7
Copy of Raster 3 – Paper 34
Raster 3 – select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with #f6c7c2. Penta.com Color Dot, change the distance to 10.

Open your tube. Copy and paste your tube or close-up just above the large blue circle layer, flip horizontal and place over the circle. On the blue circle layer, select all, float, defloat. On your tube layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect. Duplicate your tube layer, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, Opacity 51. On the original tube layer, set the blend mode to Luminance (L), Opacity 36.

Open leaves3. Resize by 14%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the right side of the large blue circle. Duplicate, flip horizontal, and then place this copy on the left side of the blue circle.

Open flower16. Resize by 12%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place over the leaves on the right. Duplicate, flip horizontal and place over the leaves on the left.

Open bow6. Resize by 12%. Copy and paste as a new layer, rotate about 45 degrees to the left (so it’s not at an angle). Place to the top of the large blue circle layer.

Open your tube again. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer just above the pink hearts layer. Place over the left pink heart. Duplicate and place this heart over the right pink heart. Merge the two tube layers together. On the pink heart layer, select all, float, defloat. On the merged tubes layer, selections, invert and press delete.

Duplicate your merged tubes layer, gaussian blur with the same settings as before. Change the blend mode to Screen. On the original layer, set the blend mode to Luminance (L), Opacity 68.

Open hearts2. Resize by 16%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Open cupcake1. Resize by 15%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the lower right.

Open string5. Resize by 19%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom.

Open laceflower2. Resize by 12%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the right side, just above the heart on the right. Duplicate, and place this copy to the lower left, at the bottom of the heart on the left side.

Copy and paste your tube again, resize as necessary. Place to your liking.

Add your name, copyright, and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers, then merge visible. Save as a PNG.
