Wrapped In Love

This tutorial was written by me on February 2nd, 2014 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5 but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the amazing work of Very Many. You can purchase this tube here

PTU kit by Creative Scraps by Crys called Wrapped In Love. You can find purchase info here

DD_Valentine_Template_1_YourKiss by Dee. You can find it here

Mask 317 by Vix. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Masterics.

Open your template & mask. Minimize your mask for now.

On your template, set the canvas to 750 x 750. Resize all layers by 80%. Delete the credits layer & the wordart layers.

Open Paper 7. Copy and paste as a new layer. Apply your mask, merge group. Move this layer above the background layer. Delete the background layer.

Working from the bottom layer to the top, add your papers:

Brown square – Paper 7
Large creme square – Paper 5
Tan strip – Paper 4
White strips – Paper 4
Gold circle – Paper 9
Black dotted circle – manual color correction. Set the source to #000000 and the target to #ffffff
Small creme square – Paper 2
Black square lines – manual color correction. Change the target to #7d0000
White circle – Paper 2
Brown circle – Paper 11
Left white heart – Paper 2
Dark pink heart – Paper 8
Right white heart – Paper 2
Light pink heart – Paper 12
Small hearts – Paper 10
Pixel words – manual color correction. Change the target to #faf3e3

Now add your elements:

Element 49 – Resize by 85%. Place to your liking.
Element 53 – Resize by 60%, rotate to the left 145 degrees. Place to the upper right. Duplicate, flip vertical and place to the lower right.
Element 11 – Resize by 50%. Place to the upper right.
Element 17 – Resize by 30%. Place just above the heart on the clothesline.
Element 32 – Resize by 95%.
Element 29 – Resize by 40%, rotate slightly to the left. Place to the bottom left.
Element 33 – Resize by 95%. Place to the bottom.
Element 42 – Resize by 50%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom, slightly to the left.

On the duplicate green leaves layer, bring to the top.

Element 8 – Resize by 88%. Place to the bottom.
Element 25 – Resize by 80%. Rotate slightly to the left. Place to the bottom.
Element 24 – Resize by 80%. Rotate twice as much to the left as Element 25. Place to the bottom.
Element 2 – Resize by 50%. Place to the lower left.
Element 38 – Resize by 30%. Place to the bottom right of the tree.
Element 6 – Resize by 88%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom.
Frame 5 – Resize by 40%, flip horizontal. Place to the lower right.
Element 21 – Resize by 35%. Place to the bottom right.
Element 3 – Resize by 30%. Place to the bottom left of the milkshake.
Element 26 – Resize by 30%. Place to the upper left corner of the small square. Duplicate, flip horizontal and place to the right side, about halfway down. Move the duplicate layer so it is just above the butterfly.
Element 46 – Resize by 30%. Move this layer to the top and place to the left of the gift.

Open your tube, flip horizontal. On the small square frame layer, use your magic wand and click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 2. Place your tube over the frame layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and move below the frame layer.
Duplicate the tube, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen. On the original tube layer, set the opacity to 60.

Copy & paste your tube again, flip horizontal. Resize as necessary and move this layer so it is just above the duplicate flower layer. Duplicate this tube, gaussian blur with the same settings as before. Set the blend mode to Screen, opacity 45.

Add your name, copyright, and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice. Merge visible and save as a PNG.
