Lucky Coin

This tutorial was written by me on March 4th, 2014 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5 but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

FTU Lucky Coin kit by Kandii Popz Dezignz. You can get the kit here

StoneMask by Gina’s Gems. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Chell Chrome Bold.

Open a blank canvas 600 x 400.

Open Paper 1 and minimize. In the materials palette, set the background to pattern and choose your paper from the drop-down list.

Type out your name, size 125. Convert to raster layer.
Using your magic wand, click outside the text, the inside of the ‘A’ and ‘D’ so the letters are selected. Selections, modify, expand by 2. Selections, invert.

Open Paper 7. Copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and move this layer below the text layer.

On the text layer, add a drop shadow of choice and then merge down.

Open your mask and Paper 9. Copy and paste your paper as a new layer below your text layer. Apply your mask, merge group. Duplicate and merge down.

Now to add your elements from bottom to top:

Glitter – resize by 70%; place towards the top of your mask.
Harp – resize by 50%; place to the left side of the first letter.
Cuppy – resize by 50%; place to the right side of the last letter.
Basket – resize by 50%; place behind the 3rd letter, slightly to the left.
Faery – resize by 50%; place between the basket & cuppy above the text layer.
Ribbon2 – resize by 80%; place to the bottom of your text.
Glitternclovers – resize by 80%; place over the ribbon.
Leprechaun1 – resize by 40%; place to the left side of the first letter.
Pintbottle – resize by 25%; place to the bottom right of the leprechaun.
Flower3 – resize by 30%; place to the bottom of the last letter. Duplicate & place to the bottom of the second and third letters.
Mouse – resize by 30%; place to the bottom of the cuppy.

Add a drop shadow of choice to your layers. Merge visible and save as a PNG.
