VM_Bejeweled_Brandy

This tutorial was written by me on March 9th, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the beautiful art of VeryMany. You can purchase this tube here.

PTU kit from BLT Dezignz called Bejeweled. You can purchase this kit here.

Mask 110 by Millie’s PSP Madness. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using K22 Ambelyn Condensed.

Filters:

EyeCandy 4000 – Chrome

Open a blank image, 600 x 600.

Open PP10 & your mask. Minimize your mask. Resize by 22%. Copy & paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas. Apply your mask, merge group.

Open the Deco. Resize by 75%. Copy & paste as a new layer.

Open Frame3. Resize by 25%. Copy & paste as a new layer.

With your magic wand tool, click inside your frame. Selections, modify, expand by 5. Open PP4 & resize by 22%. Copy & paste as a new layer above your deco layer. Selections, invert, & press delete. Deselect.

Open Bow2. Resize by 8%. Copy & paste as a new layer above your frame layer. Place to the top of the frame.

Open Bow1. Resize by 25%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place over the gold bow.

Open Branch2. Resize by 15%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the right side of the frame. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place to the left side of the frame.

Open the Branch. Resize by 25%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the right over top the branch. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place over the branch on the left side.

Open the Feather. Resize by 12%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place over the upper left corner of the frame.

Open the Necklace. Resize by 8%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the lower right corner of the frame.

Open the Rosette. Resize by 30%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom right. Duplicate & place to the lower left.

Open Ribbon1. Resize by 19%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place over the rosettes.

Open the Button. Resize by 80%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the left of the right rosette. Duplicate & place to the right of the left rosette.

Open the Comb. Resize by 6%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place over the top of the left button.

Open Flower7. Resize by 15%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom between the left rosette & button. Duplicate & place between the right button & rosette.

Open the Spill. Resize by 20%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Duplicate three times & arrange to your liking across the bottom. Merge the spill layers together.

Open the Jewel. Resize by 45%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom.

Open Frog2. Resize by 6%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom right.

Open your tube, resize as necessary. Copy & paste as a new layer above the feather layer. Place to your liking. Duplicate, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to Overlay, 90.

Add your name above all the other layers using a color of choice. I used #bb954b. Rasterize your text. Duplicate this layer & then hide the duplicate. On the original text layer, EyeCandy 4000 Chrome using the following settings:

Basic tab

Reflection Map – Shiny Penny
Bevel Width – 39.36
Bevel Height – 55
Smoothness – 57
Ripple Thickness – 61
Ripple Width – 150

Bevel Placement – Inside marquee

Random Seed – 3481

Unhide the duplicate text layer. Set the blend mode for this layer to Color (L) then merge down. Add a gradient glow to your text.

Add your copyrights & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers. Merge visible & save as a PNG.
