This tutorial was written by me on April 29th, 2015 and is my own creation. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Spazzd Art. You can purchase her tubes here.

PTU kit by Scraps N Pleasure called Dollar. You can purchase this kit here.

Template 738 by Millie’s PSP Madness. You can find it here.

Mask 187 by Insatiable Dreams. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using Broken 15

Open your template. Delete the cr, 10, 9, & 3 layers. Set the canvas size to 800 x 594. Resize all layers by 75%.

Merge together the following layers:

1 & 2
5 & 6
7 & 8

Replace each layer with the following:

1 – Paper 5
4 – select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer. Open Paper 6. Copy the paper and paste into selection.
5 – Paper 1
7 – select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #ecddb2. Do not deselect yet.

Selections, modify, select selection borders, both sides, 2, anti-alias checked. Add a new layer then with a gradient of your choice (I used a linear gradient, angle 45, repeats 3 with #d2b980 & #f3efe9), floodfill this layer. Add noise, uniform, 25, monochrome checked. Now you can deselect.

Now lets add our elements:

Element30 – resize by 50%. Paste as a new layer above the black & gold paper layer. Place to the top of the frames.
Element06 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom. Move this layer above the frame layer.
Element54 – paste as a new layer & place to the bottom.
Element03 – resize by 60%. Place to the bottom left.
Element20 – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom left, along the left side of the frames.
Element49 – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom left, between the bottle & mascara.
Element18 – resize by 60%. Place the the botom of the mascara.
Element28 – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom right.
Element51 – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom left of the shoe.
Element44 – resize by 50%. Place over the shoe, rotate slightly to the right.
Element50 – resize by 40%. Place to the right of the cash.
Element02 – resize by 20%. Place over the cash & poker chips.
Element15 – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer above the frame back layer. Place your tube over the left set of frame backs. Duplicate, place over the right side of frame backs. Place to your liking, then merge the two tube layers together. On the frame back layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tubes layer, selections, invert, & press delete. Deselect. Duplicate the tubes layer, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode for this layer to screen, 100.

On the original merged layer, effects, artistic effects halftone using the following settings:

Now set the blend mode for this layer to luminance (L), 70.

Paste your tube again, then move this layer above the cityscape layer, resizing as necessary.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers, then merge visible. Objects, alight, center in canvas.

Open your mask & Paper03. Paste your paper as a new layer above the background layer. Apply your mask, merge group.

Save as a PNG.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Misticheskaya. I purchased this tube at Scraps and the City, which is now closed. This tube is no longer available, but she has some beautiful tubes here.

PTU kit from BLT Dezignz called Mauve Cocoa. You can purchase this kit here.

Font of choice. I am using Dubloon.

Filters:

Toadies – What Are You?
Penta.com – VTR

Open a new blank canvas, 600 x 250.

Open PP1. Resize by 22%. Paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas.

Penta.com – VTR, 33, 1, 46, 0.

Add your elements. I used:

Birdcage – resize by 10%. Place to the upper left.
Book – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom right side of the birdcage. Rotate slightly to the right.
Flower1 – rotate right. Resize by 17%. Place to the far right. Duplicate, flip horizontal & place to the far left. Merge down.
Ribbon1 – resize by 10%. Place to the bottom. Duplicate twice and arrange across the bottom of your canvas. Merge the ribbons together. Move the flower so you see it above the ribbon.
Bottle – resize by 8%. Place to the left side of the book.
Heart – resize by 6%. Place to the bottom right of the book.
Flower5 – resize by 10%. Place to the bottom right of the heart. Move down over the ribbon. Duplicate, Place to the far right.
Flower9 – resize by 10%. Place to the right of the left flower. Duplicate, place to the left of the right flower.
Deco – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom left.
Atomizer – resize by 5%. Place to the right side of the deco.
Cat – resize by 8%. Place between the two brown flowers.

Open your tube and paste just above the paper layer. Place the face of the tube just to the left of center. Duplicate twice. On the bottom tube layer, Toadies, What Are You? using the default settings. Set the blend mode to overlay. On the middle tube layer, set the blend mode to luminance (L), 10. On the top tube layer, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode for this layer to screen, 38.

Paste your tube again, resizing slightly. Flip horizontal & place to the right side.

Create a linear gradient, angle 45, repeats 3 with #d8c2c4 & #f0f1e7. Add a new raster layer & floodfill with your gradient. Select all, modify, contract by 4, then press delete. Deselect. Add noise, 25, uniform, monochrome checked.

Open PP4, resize by 22%. Paste as a new layer. Crop your image to 600 x 250. Select all, modify, contract by 2. Press delete then deselect & merge down with the gradient layer.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice. Save as a PNG.

For your avatar, crop the area you would like to use for your avatar. Delete the frame, copyright, & name layers. Repeat the steps for the frame, copyright, & name or initial.

Gothic Beauty

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Elias Chatzoudis. I purchased this tube when he was with PSP Tubes Emporium, which is now closed. You may now purchase his tubes here.

PTU kit from Kandii Popz Dezignz called Gothic Beauty. You can purchase this kit here.

Template 201 by Toxic Desirez. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using CF Revolution.

Open your template. Set the canvas size to 850 x 737. Resize all layers by 71%. Delete the credits layer.

Merge together the following layers respectively:

Raster 8/Copy of Raster 8
Raster 7/Copy of Raster 7
Raster 6/Copy of Raster 6
Raster 5/ Copy of Raster 5

Replace each layer with the following:

Raster 8 – Paper 11
Raster 7 – Paper 2
Raster 6 – Paper 12
Raster 5 – Paper 8
Raster 4 – Paper 15
Copy of Raster 1 – new raster layer, floodfill with a linear gradient using the colors #cccccc & #262626. Effects, Artistic Effects, Halftone, Line – 8, Screen Angles – 108, Use as overlay checked, Blend mode – Soft Light 100, Greyscale, Ink #000000, Transparent checked.
Copy of Raster 3 – new raster layer, floodfill with #cccccc.
Raster 3 – new raster layer, floodfill with a linear gradient using two colors of your choice.

Now lets add our elements:

Mask – resize by 85%. Move this layer above the background layer.
WireFencing – resize by 70%. Paste above the mask layer.
Lights – resize by 62%. Place towards the top of your template. Move this layer above the black circle layer.
Lightspots – resize by 83%. Move this layer above the top layer.
String2 – resize by 69%. Place to the bottom.
Ribbon2 – resize by 79%. Place to the bottom.
SpiderCake – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom left.
Ted – resize by 50%. Place to the bottom right.
Bat – resize by 50%. Place to the upper right of the circle layer.
Candle – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom right.
Pill – resize by 30%. Place to the bottom of the cupcake.
Cocktail – resize by 40%. Place to the right of the cupcake.
Bomb – resize by 40%. Place to the bottom left of the cocktail.
TwistedSafetyPin – resize by 40%. Place to the left of the candle.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Paste as a new layer. Duplicate, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay.

Add your name, copyrights, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice, if desired. Merge visible, then save as a PNG.
