PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Moshilove. You can purchase her tubes here

FTU kit At the Beach by Inzpired Creationz. You can find it here

Mask 24 by WitchysHeart. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Vailsnick.

Filters:

EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional for text)
Mura’s Meister Copies

Open Frame 2. Resize by 60%, all layers unchecked. Now resize all layers by 82%.

Open Paper 1, resize by 75%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Move this layer below your frame layer. Click on the frame layer in the layers palette. With your magic wand, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 5. On the paper layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect.

Open your tube and place slightly to the left of the center of the frame. Move your tube under the frame layer.

Mura’s Meister Copies using the following settings:

Afterimage (linear), Circle, H-tile, Behind.

Background color – white.

All other settings at default.

On the paper layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect. Set the blend mode for your tube layer to Soft Light.

Open Paper 7 & your mask. Copy and paste your paper as a new layer. Move this layer to the bottom. Apply your mask, merge group. Resize your mask slightly.

Now let’s add your elements:

Crushed Coral and shells – resize by 72%; place below the mask layer.
Life Saver – resize by 40%; place to the upper left corner of the frame. Place above the mask layer, but below the frame back layer. Duplicate, place to the bottom right corner.
Fish 1 – resize by 60%; place above the frame layer.
Sand 1 – resize by 65%; place to the bottom.
Tube – resize your tube as necessary & place to the right side. Duplicate, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Soft Light.
Grass 1 – resize by 60%; place to the left side of your frame.
Flower 2 – resize by 40%; place over the grass.
Boat 1 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom of the grass.
Grass 2 – resize by 60%; place to the bottom right of the boat.
Cup of Shells – resize by 35%; place to the bottom of the boat, slightly to the right of the center.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice & merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Bad Girl

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PS.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Tim Lowery. You can purchase his tubes here

FTU kit called Bad Girlz by Kittz Kreationz. You can find it here

Template 550 by Millie’s PSP Madness. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Rock It.

Filters:

Mura’s Meister Copies
Filters Unlimited 2.0, Special Effects 1, Rasterlines (color)

Open your template. Delete the following layers: cr, 14, 13, & 8. Set the canvas size to 800 x 650. Image size, 600 x 488.

Now to add your papers:

Layer 2 – P2
Layer 3 – P3
Layer 4 – P4
Layer 5 – P6
Layer 6 – P1

Layers 9 & 10 – merge these two layers together. Ctrl+Click on the thumbnail to select. Add a new raster layer & floodfill with #3b4b7f. Deselect.

Filters Unlimited 2.0, Special Effects 1, Rasterlines (color) using the default settings.

Open your tube and place above the rasterline blue layer.

Mura’s Meister Copies, Wallpaper rotate using the default settings.

Filter, Blur, Motion Blur, Angle 0, Distance 100.

Filter, Sharpen, Sharpen.

Ctrl + Click the rasterlines thumbnail. Select, Inverse and press delete. Deselect. On the Mura’s Meister layer, set the blend mode to Luminosity.

Layers 11 & 12 – Merge these two layers together. Ctrl + Click on the thumbnail to select. Add a new raster layer and floodfill with #ffffff.

Filter, Texture, Patchwork, Square Size 4, Relief 0.

Now add your elements:

20 – Resize by 84%; place to the top. Duplicate, Edit, Transform, Rotate 180 and move to the bottom. Merge these 2 layers together and move this layer to the bottom.
38 – Resize by 92%. Place above the large rectangle layer, to the top.
43 – Resize by 73%.
36 – Resize by 85%. Place this layer above all the other layers.
5 – Resize by 85%. Place to the bottom.
6 – Resize by 30%. Place onto your canvas. Duplicate. Place the top copy to the upper left corner. For the bottom copy, transform, flip horizontal. Place over the top of the right small rectangle.
25 – Resize by 42%. Place to the left of the bottom flower. Move this layer below the top flower but above the original.
8 – Resize by 40%. Place to the right side of the left rasterline square.
57 – Resize by 30%. Place to the upper left. Rotate slightly to the left.
14 – Resize by 35%. Place over the top two squares on the left.
21 – Resize by 50%. Place above the topmost flower, to the bottom left.
15 – Resize by 45%. Place to the right of the flames, flip horizontal.
28 – Resize by 40%. Place to the bottom right.
12 – Resize by 35%. Place to the right of the cupcake.
40 – Resize by 30%. Place to the bottom left of the cupcake.
27 – Resize by 40%. Place over the whip.

Now add your tube layers:

With your mura’s meister layer highlighted in the layer palette, place your tube over the right square, resizing as necessary. Duplicate, flip horizontal and place over the left square.

Merge the two tube layers together. Ctrl + Click on the mura’s layer. Select, inverse and press delete. Deselect. Duplicate. Filter, Blur, Guassian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay, 75%. On the original layer, set the blend mode to luminosity, 20%.

Repeat for the small rectangles layer except make the following changes: On the blurred tube layer, set the blend mode to overlay, and the original tube layer, set the opacity to 50%. Image, Adjustments, Desaturate.

With the skull butterfly layer highlighted, add your tube again, resizing as necessary. Place to your liking. Duplicate, gaussian blur with the same settings as before. Set the blend mode for this layer to overlay. On the original layer, desaturate.

You may have some layers that are exposed on the edges of your canvas. To get rid of these, just use your rectangle selection tool and select the edges and delete these.

Add your name, copyright, and license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers.

Hide the background and splatter layer. On a visible layer, merge visible. Select all, Layer, Align layers to selection, vertical centers. Then repeat align layers to selection, horizontal centers. Deselect. Unhide your splatter layer and merge visible.

Save as a PNG.

Font of choice. I am using Wedding Nightmares.

Open a new image, 600 x 600.

Open Frame 2, resize by 70%. Drag to your blank canvas.

With the polygon lass tool, make a selection slightly larget than the opening of the frame.

Open Paper 4 and drag to your canvas. Select, inverse. Press delete and deselect. Move this layer below your frame layer.

Open your tube or a closeup. Place over the paper layer. Edit, transform, flip horizontal and place to your liking. Ctrl+Click on the paper thumbnail. Select, inverse and press delete. Deselect.

Duplicate the closeup layer. Filter, blur, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, opacity 60. On the original closeup layer, set the blend mode to Luminosity, opacity 20.

Open the Fog and place above your frame layer.

Open Ribbon3. Resize by 30%. Place along the right side of the frame.

Open the HalfMoon. Resize by 40%. Place to the upper left corner of the frame.

Open your tube and resize as necessary. Place to the right side. Duplicate, gaussian blur using the same settings as before. Set the blend mode to Screen, opacity 45.

Image, Adjustments, Color Balance, -28, 0, 0.

Image, Adjustments, Variations. Midtones, place arrow on second mark and then click on the Lighter option.

Open the Leaves and resize by 75%. Place to the bottom of your frame.

Open the Stump. Resize by 40%. Place to the bottom left of the frame.

Open the Tab. Resize by 30%. Place to the bottom left. Rotate slightly to the left.

Open Ribbon1. Resize by 65%. Place to the bottom.

Open the Glitter. Resize by 70%. Rotate canvas CW90. Place to the bottom.

Open the Lantern. Resize by 40%. Place to the bottom right of the stump.

Open Raven1. Resize by 25%. Place to the bottom, to the right of the lantern.

Ctrl+A. Image, Crop.

Open your mask and Paper 1.

Open your mask and add Paper 1 above it.

With the mask layer highlighted, Select all, Edit,Copy

On the paper layer, hit Q to activate Quick Mask Mode. Edit, Paste. Hit Q again to turn off Quick Mask Mode.
Now click the Add Layer Mask button at the bottom of your layer palette box. Rasterize the layer. Resize so your mask is the same size as your canvas (600 x 600).

Drag your mask to your working canvas. Move this layer to the bottom.

Add your name, copyrights, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers. Merge visible and save as a PNG.

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Jorge Packer. You can purchase his tubes here

PTU kit Witchy Woman by Inzpired Creationz. She is no longer selling but you can find her freebies here. Unfortunately, this kit is no longer available.

Mask 111 by Designs by Vaybs. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Signarita Chloe.

Filters:

Alienskin EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional for text; use your own settings)

Open a blank canvas, 600 x 560.

Open Frame 3. Resize by 75%. Copy and paste onto your blank canvas.

Open your mask and Paper 4. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move this layer below your frame. Move so that the lantern is to the left of the flower. Apply your mask, merge group.

On your frame layer, select your freehand selection tool. With the selection type set to point to point, create a square selection slightly smaller than your frame.

Open Paper 1. Copy and paste as a new layer, selections invert, press delete. Deselect. Move this layer below your frame layer.

Open Moon 1. Resize by 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the upper left corner. Move this layer just above the mask layer.

Open your tube or a closeup (I used the closeup that came with the tube). Copy and paste as a new layer, flip horizontal. Move this layer just below the frame and arrange over the paper layer to your liking. On the frame back layer, select all, float, defloat. On the tube layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect. Duplicate your tube layer, guassian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode for both tube layers to screen.

Open Crystal 2. Resize by 75%. Copy and paste as a new layer above your frame layer. Place to the bottom left.

Open the Clouds. Resize by 83%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom.

Open Flower 2. Resize by 40%, flip horizontal. Place to the right side.

Open the Bridge. Resize by 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom.

Open your tube, resizing as necessary. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place slightly to the right.

Open Ribbon 1. Resize by 87%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom.

Open the Chest. Resize by 45%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the lower left.

Open Cat 2. Resize by 35%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the bottom.

Open the Candles. Resize by 25%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the left of the cat.

Open Bottle 4. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place to the left of the candles.

Open the Lantern. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place so it looks like the girl is holding the lantern.

Add your name, copyright, & license info.

Apply a drop shadow of choice and merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Filters: Toadies – What Are You?

Open a blank canvas, 600 x 600 and your mask. Minimize your mask for now.

Open transparentmat2. Resize by 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas. Apply your mask, merge group.

Open the polaroid. Resize by 30%. Copy and paste as a new layer. With your magic wand, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10.

Open pp3. Resize by 22%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and move this layer below the polaroid layer.

Now to add the remaining elements from bottom to top:

enamelborder – resize by 9%; Place to the top border of the polaroid. Duplicate and place to the bottom of the polaroid.
smear – resize by 14%; place to the top right along the right border of the frame.
label 3, 4, & 5 – resize by 25%; place each label in step format over the smear. See my tag for reference. Merge these 3 layers together. Duplicate. On the original merged layer, Toadies What Are You? using the default settings. Shift+B, 75, 15.
leaf – resize by 25%; place to the bottom left corner. Duplicate, rotate to the left so it is straight up. Move the duplicate behind the original and slightly up.
flower – resize by 25%; place to the bottom left corner on top of the leaves. Duplicate this layer. On the original layer repeat the Toadies filter and brightness.
arrow – resize by 40%; place to the bottom right. Duplicate and place to the top left.

Open your tube and resize as necessary. Copy & paste as a new layer and place to your liking. Duplicate your tube and on the original, repeat the Toadies filter and brightness.

On the duplicate tube layer, duplicate. Gaussian blur 3.00, set the blend mode to Overlay.

Add your name, copyrights, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers. Merge visible and save as a PNG.

Open a blank canvas, 600 x 250. Floodfill with #da9b9c.

Open your texture. Copy & paste as a new layer. Set the blend mode to Luminance (L), opacity 50.

Open your tube. Resize by 41%. Copy and paste as a new layer. With the rectangle selection tool, select the two sides as shown here:

Selections, modify, expand by 2. Selections, modify, feather, 2. Press delete, deselect.

Mura’s Meister Copies, Line preset. Set the number to 4.

Duplicate, guassian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Screen, opacity 63. On the original layer, set the blend mode to Overlay.

On the original layer, Effects, Artistic Effects, Halftone using the following settings:

Halftone Pattern, Round, 2
Screen Angles, 108
Use as overlay checked, Screen, Opacity 50.
Color Scheme, Greyscale, Ink black, Background white.

Change the opacity for this layer to 63.

Duplicate this layer, Shift+L, 0, 0.

Filter Factory N, Pathway 241, Helion 221, Power 174, X Slide 111, Y Slide 196.

Set the blend mode to Soft Light, opacity 50.

On the original layer, Penta.com VTR2

With your rectangle tool, draw out a horizontal line across your canvas (doesn’t matter what color is used). Convert to a raster layer. Now duplicate 3 time. Arrange from top to bottom to your liking. Now merge these layers together.

On the original tubes layer, copy. On the rectangles layer, select all, float, defloat. Paste your tubes layer as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and delete the original rectangles layer. Change the blend mode to Normal.

Penta.com Color dot using the default settings.

Give a sharp drop shadow. I used 1, 1, 50, 1.00.

Open your tube again and place to the right side.

With your rectangle selection tool, select the left side of your tube. Selections, modify, expand by 2. Selections, modify, feather, 15. Press delete twice. Deselect.

Duplicate your tube and hide the top copy for now. On the bottom tube, Effects, Distortion, Wind, From right, 100.

Effects, Distortion Effects, Warp using the following settings.

Horizontal 54
Vertical 62
Size 50
Strength 50

Repeat the Wind effect.

Alien Skin Xenofex 2, Constellation, 3.00, 50, 1, 3, 50, 75, Keep original image selected.

Merge all, flatten.

AAA Frames Foto Frame. Set the width and matte both to 1.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Save as a PNG or JPG.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using a tube by Elizabeth Caffey. You must purchase her work and obtain the proper licensing. You can do so here

FTU Handmade With Love Add-On kit. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using Plathand Demo.

Filters:

EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow
Xero Radiance

Open a blank canvas, 600 x 250.

Open pap (1). Resize by 22%. Copy & paste as a new layer.

Add your elements. I chose:

elmt (8) – resize by 15%. Place to the far left. Duplicate, rotate 180 to the right.
elmt (11) – resize by 24%, rotate left. Place to the top, flip horizontal.
elmt (3) – resize by 15%. Place to the bottom right corner. Duplicate, flip and place to the bottom left corner.
elmt (9) – resize by 12%. Place to the far left. Duplicate, mirror, place to the far right.
elmt (5) – resize by 12%. Place to the far left.
elmt (2) – resize by 10%, rotate slightly to the right. Place to the bottom, slightly to the right.
elmt (13) – resize by 12%. Place to the bottom left.
elmt (19) – resize by 8%. Place over the spools of thread.
elmt (16) – Resize by 20%. Place to the bottom right corner. Duplicate, resize by 70%. Place over the ribbon, slightly to the left.

Open your tube. Resize to your liking. Place to the right. Open a closeup or tube without resizing and arrange two or more duplicates across your canvas. Merge the closeup or larger tube layers together. Move this layer to just above your paper layer.

Xero Porcelain. Set the blue to 0. Duplicate this layer. Gaussian blur 3.00, set the blend mode to Multiply, opacity 40. On the original layer, set the blend mode to Overlay, opacity to 50.

On the smaller tube layer, Xero Porcelain with the same settings.

Duplicate your window and minimize this for now.

On your original canvas, open pap (2), resize by 22%. Copy & paste as a new layer. Crop your canvas to 600 x 250. On the top paper layer, select all. Selections, modify, contract by 2. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect.

Select all, float, defloat. Selections, modify, contract by 2 and press delete. Deselect. Add noise, uniform, 50, monochrome checked.

EyeCandy 4000 – Gradient Glow.

Under the basic tab, set the Glow Width to 3.00. Under the color tab, change the yellow color to white and set the opacity to 50.

Add your name, copyrights, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers if desired. Merge visible and save as a PNG or JPG.

Maximize your duplicate window. Crop your image to 150 x 150, place the crop box over the area you would like to use as an avatar. Apply the crop tool. Repeat your frame layer as we used in the original canvas. Add your name or initial, copyrights, & license info. Merge visible and save as a PNG or JPG.
