PSP Version used: PSP X5

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the art of Wendy G. You can purchase her tubes here.

FTU Sea Shore Sampler kit from Chichi Designz. You can find it here.

Mask 1 of Mask Set 26 by me. You can find it here.

Font of choice. I am using ScrapItUp

Filters:

EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional)

Mura Meister Copies

Open a new blank image, 600 x 600.

Open Paper 5 & your mask. Minimize your mask. On the blank image, paste your paper as a new layer. Apply your mask, merge group.

Open the WoodenFrame. Resize by 80%. Copy & paste as a new layer.

Open Paper 4. Copy & paste as a new layer. Move this layer below the frame layer. On the frame layer, click inside the frame using your magic wand tool. Selections, modify, expand by 10. On the paper layer, selections, invert and press delete. Deselect.

Now lets add our elements:

CristalFlower1 – resize by 40%.

Mura Meister Copies Encircle using the default settings.

Umbrella – resize by 50%; place to the upper left corner. Rotate slightly to the left.

Fish – resize by 50%; place along the right side of the frame.

Tube – resize to your liking. On your frame layer, click inside the frame using your magic wand tool. Selections, modify, expand by 1. Selections, invert on your tube layer. Using your eraser tool, erase any part of the tube that extends paste the bottom of the frame. Deselect.

GlitterSplat – Paste as a new layer.

Sea Branch – resize by 60%, flip horizontal. Place to the bottom of your frame.

OrangePlant – resize by 50%; place to the bottom right.

Boat – resize by 30%; place to the bottom left.

Sparkles – resize by 80%; paste as a new layer.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply the EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow to your text, if desired.

Apply a drop shadow of choice; merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Open your template & mask. Minimize your mask for now.

On your mask, resize all layers by 86%. Delete the credits layer. Now merge the following layers together:

Dark Orange Rectangle 2 & Dark Orange Rectangle 3
Lt Orange Triangle 1 & Lt Orange Triangle 2
Lt Orange Triangle 3 & Lt Orange Triangle 4
Black Triangle 1 & Black Triangle 2
White Circle 3 & White Circle 4
Black Triangle 3 & Black Triangle 4
Grey Rectangle 1 & Grey Rectangle 2

Open Paper 1. Copy & paste as a new layer just above the background layer. Apply your mask, merge group.

Lets add our papers now:

Merged Dark Orange Rectangles layer – Paper 9
Merged Lt Orange Triangle layers – Paper 6

Merged Black Triangle layers – manual color correction. Set the source to #000000 and the target to #5b3b0d. Now apply Penta.com Color dot to this layer. Change the distance to 10.

Merged Grey Rectangle layer – Paper 4

Dark Orange Rectangle 1 layer – Paper 8

For all the white circle layers, manual color correction. Set the source to #FFFFFF and the target to #ef359a. Now Penta.com jeans and change the amount to 25.

Now lets add our elements:

Element 5 – resize by 50%; place to the right side above the template layers.
Element 17 – resize by 35%; place along the left side of the tree. Move this layer below the tree layer.
Element 34 – resize by 80%; place towards the top of your template. Make sure this layer is between the bird & the tree. Duplicate this layer and place towards the bottom of your template. Move this layer above the tree.
Element 37 – resize by 79%; place to the bottom. Move this layer below the top copy of the flower line.
Element 3 – place to the left side above the sand layer.
Element 19 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom of your sign.
Element 32 – resize by 60%; place to the bottom.
Element 1 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom.
Element 12 – resize by 80%; place to the bottom right.
Element 11 – resize by 50%; rotate to the right so the star is angled to the right. Place to the bottom left of the shell.
Element 15 – resize by 40%; place to the bottom right so it looks like the turtle is resting on top of the shell.

Open your tube and resize as necessary. Paste as a new layer and move this layer below the sign layer.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice and merge visible. Save as a PNG.

Dazzling

Font of choice. I am using Vailsnick.

Filters: Mura Meister Copies

Open a blank canvas, 650 x 250.

Open Paper 12. Resize by 67%. Copy & paste as a new layer.

Using a pixel font of your choice, type out the word ‘dazzling’. Convert to a raster layer, objects, align, center in canvas.

Mura Meister Copies, Tiling preset, change the tile gap to 5.

Set the blend mode to overlay.

Now lets add our elements:

Element 95 – paste as a new layer, set the blend mode to soft light.
Element 73 – paste as a new layer.
Element 2 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom, slightly to the left of center. Duplicate, and place to the right of center.
Element 27 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom left corner.
Element 54 – resize by 50%; place to the right side of the box.
Element 16 – paste as a new layer.
Element 12 – resize by 60%; place to the bottom right corner.
Element 28 – resize by 80%; place to the left side of the nail polish.
Element 5 – paste as a new layer; place to the bottom.
Element 3 – resize by 80%; place to the bottom right.
Element 35 – resize by 60%; place to the upper left corner. Duplicate, flip horizontal, and place to the upper right corner.
Element 55 – resize by 50%; place between the box & purse.

Now lets add your tube layers:

Open your tube and place to the right, with the head over the buildings. Duplicate, flip horizontal and place to the left towards the top. Merge these tube layers together & move this layer so it just below the cityscape layer. Duplicate, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to screen, opacity 20. On the original layer, set the blend mode to luminance (L), opacity 10.

Open your tube again and paste as a new layer just below the nail polish layer, resize your tube as necessary.

Add a new raster layer above the top layer. Floodfill with #000000. Select all, modify, contract by 1. Press delete & deselect.

Add a new raster layer. Select all, modify, contract by 3. Selections, invert.

Using the colors #ffffff & #f04581, make a new gradient, style radial, angle 45, repeats 5. Floodfill the selection with your gradient & deselect. Move this layer below the black frame layer.

On your gradient layer, add noise, uniform, 50, monochrome checked. Now merge the two frame layers together.

Apply a drop shadow of choice to your layers and then merge visible.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Save as a PNG.

Delirium

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the stunning art of Mike Denning. You can purchase his tubes here

FTU Delirium kit by Topcat Tagz. You can find it here

Mask 3. I can’t remember where I got this mask so please use a different mask.

Font of choice. I am using Clicker Script.

Filters:

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional)

Open a new blank image, 600 x 600.

Open your mask & Paper 13. Copy & paste your paper as a new layer onto your blank canvas. Apply your mask, merge group.

Add noise, gaussian, 23, monochrome checked.

Open Element 11 & place in the center of your canvas above the mask layer. With your magic wand tool, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10. Open Paper 7 & copy & paste as a new layer. Selection, invert & press delete. Deselect and move below the frame layer.

Now lets add our elements:

Element 48 – flip horizontal & place to the top right. Duplicate, flip horizontal, & flip vertical. Place to the lower left. Merge these two layers together. Move this layer just above the mask layer.
Element 32 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom of your frame and duplicate twice. Place the 3 copies along the bottom of your frame.
Element 50 – place to the bottom of the frame opening.
Element 6 – place to the far left, slightly down. Duplicate, flip horizontal, place to the far left and move slightly up.
Element 4 – resize by 50%; place to the right of the fan.
Element 35 – resize by 95%; place to the bottom.
Element 43 – place to your liking.
Element 44 – resize by 30%; place along the ribbon, on the left side of the fan.
Element 2 – resize by 40%; place to the bottom of the fan.
Element 18 – resize by 50%; place to the bottom left.

Open your tube & resize as necessary. Place above the frame layer in front of the frame openeing. Duplicate, blur, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay. On the original layer, Shift+L, 0, 0.

Arrange your elements so that the flowers & fabric layers don’t extend below the ribbon.

Apply a drop shadow of choice, merge visible.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. You can apply any effects and filters to your text that you would like. Merge visible & save as a PNG.

It’s A Country Thing

FTU The Great Outdoors by Gimptastic Scraps. You can find it here

Mask 289 by Weescotslass Creations. You can find it here

Font of choice. I am using The Dead Saloon Regular.

Open a new blank image, 600 x 600.

Open Paper 4 & your mask. Minimize your mask. Copy your paper & paste as a new layer onto your blank canvas. Apply your mask, merge group.

Open Frame 3. Resize by 78%. Copy & paste as a new layer. With your magic wand tool, click inside your frame. Selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open 5. Copy & paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and press delete. Deselect and move this layer below the frame layer.

Now lets add your elements:

Cloud – place to the top left; duplicate and place to the top right. Merge both copies together. Move this layer just above your mask layer.
TreeBark – rotate right; place to the left side of your frame above your frame layer.
Stick – place to the right side of the frame.
LeafScatter – place to the bottom of your frame.
Branch2 – place to the bottom right.
Plant – Place to the bottom right.
Fox – flip horizontal; place to the bottom left.
CamperFire – resize by 60%; place to the bottom of the fox.
Lantern – resize by 80%; place to the lower right.
Mushroom2 – resize by 60%; place to the bottom of the lantern.
Mushroom1 – resize by 60%; place to the bottom of the campfire.
Log2 – resize by 60%; flip horizontal. Place to the lower right.
Flower3 – resize by 50%; place to the left of the log. Duplicate, flip horizontal. Place to the upper right along the frame. Move this layer below the leaves layer.
Berries – resize by 80%; place to the bottom.
Nuts – resize by 60%; place so they are sitting on top of the log.
Woodpecker – resize by 55%; place to the top of the lantern.

Open your tube. Copy & paste as a new layer. Move this layer below the leaves layer. Duplicate, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode to Overlay. On the original tube layer, Shift + L, 0, 0. Erase any part of the tube layers that goes below the bottom of the frame layer.

Type the text ‘It’s a COUNTRY thing’ in the text of your choice.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice. Merge visible & save as a PNG.

Trouble Making

Supplies:

Jan 2013 Collab Temp 01 by Millie’s PSP Madness & Rissa’s Designs. You can find it here

Filters: Xero Radiance

*To resize your elements, with your move tool, make sure the ‘show transform controls’ is checked. Press Shift while dragging the corners of the element towards the center. This will resize the element while keeping it from distorting the shape of the element.

Resize all your elements & tube to your liking.*

Open your template. Image>Duplicate and close the original. Delete the credits layer.

First, let’s work on the template layers:

Layer 1 – Paper 19
Raster 1 & Copy of Raster 1 – Paper 3; Filter>Noise>Add Noise>15, Uniform, Monochromatic checked.
Raster 2 & Copy of Raster 2 – Paper 2. On top of Paper 2 for each of the Raster 2 layers, add your texture. Set the blend mode for the texture layers to Luminosity.
Layer 2 – Paper 16
Layer 3 & 4 – Paper 1

Above layer 3, add a new layer. Floodfill with a black and white gradient. Ctrl+Click on the thumbnail of layer 3. Select>Modify>Expand by 2. Select>Inverse and press delete. Select>Inverse again. Modify, contract by 3 and press delete again. Deselect. Repeat for Layer 4. For both these frame layers, Filter>Noise>Add noise, change the amount to 50.

Merge the wordart layers together.

Open your tube and place a copy under each of the frame layers, erase any part of the tube that extends beyond the frame.

Apply Xero Radiance to the tube layers using the default settings. Duplicate the tube layers, gaussian blur 3.00. Set the blend mode for this layer to Screen.

Now to add your elements:

Wire – place this layer just above the texture layer.
String Bow 2 – scale to size, place to the top of the topmost frame. Duplicate, Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal. Place to the top of the bottom frame.
Doodle – scale to size, place to the right side above all the other layers. Duplicate, Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal. Place to the left side.
Tube – scale to size, place in the center. Apply Xero radiance with the same settings as before.

Move the wordart to the bottom of the tube. Ctrl+Click on the thumbnail for the wordart. Select>Modify>Expand by 2. Add a new layer and floodfill with #ffffff. Deselect and move this layer below your wordart. Merge these two layers together.

Add your name, copyright, & license info. Apply a drop shadow of choice to each layer of your choice. Merge visible.

Erase any layers that may show on the edge of your canvas and resize your tag to your liking.
